​CTAP Construction Technology Program!

The Core Construction + Carpentry Program at CTAP is designed to provide foundational skills and advanced training in the construction and carpentry trades. Utilizing the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) curriculum, this program prepares students for a rewarding career in construction.

​Curriculum Highlights

• Core Curriculum: This introductory course consists of 85 contact hours and covers basic safety, construction math, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, basic rigging, and communication skills. It provides a strong foundation for anyone entering the construction field.
• General Carpentry: Building on the core curriculum, the general carpentry course includes an additional 248 hours of instruction. This comprehensive program covers framing, roofing, exterior and interior finishing, stair layout, and more. It equips students with the skills needed to excel in various carpentry roles.
• Level 1 Carpentry: For those seeking to further their expertise, the Level 1 Carpentry course adds another 152 hours of training. This level dives deeper into topics such as advanced framing techniques, window and door installation, and specialized carpentry tasks.

The entire Core Construction + Carpentry Program can be completed in approximately 8-10 weeks if attended full-time. This intensive program ensures that students are job-ready in a short period.

Graduates of the program will receive NCCER certification, recognized nationwide by employers in the construction industry. This certification demonstrates a high level of competency and commitment to the trade.

​CTAP Electrical Program!

The Electrical Program at CTAP provides in-depth training for those aspiring to enter the electrical trade. Also based on the NCCER curriculum, this program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for a successful career as an electrician.

​Curriculum Highlights

• Core Electrical Curriculum: This initial course includes 85 contact hours covering basic electrical theory, safety practices, electrical circuits, and introduction to the National Electrical Code (NEC). It lays the groundwork for further specialized training.
• Level 1 Electrical: Following the core curriculum, the Level 1 Electrical course consists of an additional 90 hours. It focuses on residential wiring, conduit bending, and electrical test equipment. Students will learn to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in residential settings.
• Advanced Levels: For those pursuing higher levels of expertise, the program offers additional training modules (Levels 2-4), each delving deeper into commercial wiring, industrial applications, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. These levels ensure comprehensive knowledge and skills development for complex electrical work.
